ESG-Management

Materiality analysis

The materiality analysis is the first stage in ESG management. We use this to find out which sustainability-relevant topics are particularly significant for us. This is the only way we can focus our efforts in a sensible, effective and targeted way.

We therefore examine three questions:

  • In which sustainability topics do our stakeholders expect particularly good performance? Which topics do they also include in their assessment of us as a company?

  • In which sustainability topics are we having particularly large potential or actual impact on the three key dimensions of the environment, social and governance and are these positive or negative impacts?

  • In which sustainability topics are we facing developments or are we already seeing effects that may have a potential or actual, positive or negative impact on what we do and how we operate as a company?

We discuss these three questions from different perspectives so we can incorporate the view of both the company and our environment into our decisions and activities.

What does this mean for our ESG management?

The evaluation of our double materiality analysis in 2023 enabled us to identify 13 material topics on which we base our efforts in relation to sustainability and report in accordance with internationally recognized standards. An overview of our key activities for each ESG dimension can be found on the following pages.
